Community Suppers-On Hiatus

2013-10-04_0004s1Friday nights during the school year, St. John’s welcomes the wider community for a simple home cooked meal.  Community Suppers provide welcome relief from eating alone at home, with wholesome, nutritious food offered for only a dollar, which helps a lot when money is tight.  Dinner is served at 6 PM.

Community Suppers also provide an opportunity for people looking for a way to give back to their community.  The volunteers who cook, serve and clean up are not only parishioners, but neighbors of St. John’s as well.

Pat S. says, “As a North Haven citizen, I enjoy coming to the St. John’s Friday Night Community Suppers because of the fellowship and the kindness and warmth of the people there. I am not a member of St. John’s but I enjoy it so much. The food every week is a delicious surprise!”

If you want to find out more, just come!  If you want to sign up to volunteer, please call the church office at 203-239-0156. New guests and new volunteers are being included every week!
