The Midnight Run is a ministry that helps clothe and feed the homeless in New Haven and beyond. A group of women from St. John’s, referred to as “The Sandwich Ladies” meet weekly during the cooler months, and monthly in the summer to make sandwiches and bag snacks and any other donations that are given to this cause. These donations are delivered to appropriate places in the New Haven Area.
We also collect men’s coats and clothing, toiletries, new socks and new underwear during the cooler months. The clothing is delivered to Columbus House the first Tuesday of every month.
This ministry is a great example of everybody working together to help those less fortunate.
