By sacrificing and serving others, they are learning to think outside themselves and see the world as God sees it.

Good Friday Day Camp
Friday, April 02, 2010 at 9:00 AM
St. John's
Have your child, age 4 or older, take a one-day journey through Holy Week, learning about God’s love with stories, crafts and games. The program begins at 9:00 with a dramatic presentation, and activities will continue until 3:30 p.m. Each child is asked to bring a bag lunch, and snacks will be provided. The cost of this day camp is $7.00 plus a non-perishable food item to be donated to the North Haven Food Pantry. This is our sixth year offering a Good Friday day camp to the children in the community. Since so many parents have to work that day, but schools are generally not in session, it is a wonderful way to serve the needs of families. We consider Good Friday Day Camp an opportunity to teach the faith and the theology of our Easter celebrations while also helping to feed our neighbors around the region who are hungry.
Any child who would like to attend Good Friday Day Camp is more than welcome. To register your child or for more information, contact the church office at (203) 239-0156. |
