Killam’s Point Parish Picnic – Sunday, June 10th 10:00am to 8:00pm

Exciting news! This year we are sharing the space with Grace & St. Peter’s from Hamden. How we do the picnic remains the same. We will supply the hamburgers and hot dogs and drinks. You will bring a dish to share, either salad, main dish, or dessert. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the Great Hall.

Timing wise…Grace & St. Peter’s will be having a church service there at 11:00 a.m. and it will run until noon. We are invited to join them for that. If you are not joining the service, please do not plan to arrive at Killam’s Point until after 12:00p, so as to not disturb the service. We will be having our usual 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services here at St. John’s.

Parking…is tight so planning to carpool is a must. Call the church office if you have space in your car, or would like a ride.

Swimming…Killam’s Point has two sandy beach areas, there will be a certified lifeguard, so don’t forget your bathing suits.

The speed limit on the road (which is more like a lane) to Killam’s Point is 10 MPH. Please obey it.

What do I need to bring?

You need extra people in your car (carpooling), a dish to share, folding chairs if you have some, swimsuit and towel if you are brave enough. Also, some insect repellent which you may or may not need, but better to be safe than sorry!
